Built From the Ground Up

Washington Timber Company was built on one principle: if you're going to build with timber, you should understand timber from the inside out. That means owning the mill, operating the equipment, and standing behind every beam and slab that leaves the yard.

Shawn Roten has spent decades working with PNW timber — from the forests of Western Washington to job sites across the country. He founded Washington Timber Company in Arlington, WA with a hands-on philosophy: no middlemen, no shortcuts, no compromises on quality.

Today, the operation has grown to serve homeowners, architects, equestrian facilities, breweries, commercial developers, and international buyers — all from the same mill alongside the Stillaguamish River.

A Real Working Mill

We're not a lumber yard. We're a full-service timber mill — log to finished product, all under one roof.

🪵

Log to Lumber

We source raw logs, process them on our Wood-Mizer industrial bandsaw, and mill to custom dimensions — all in-house.

🏗️

Mill to Structure

Our team fabricates timber frames, live edge products, and custom structures directly from our milled inventory.

🚛

Structure to Site

We deliver and install across Washington, ship build kits nationally, and export premium PNW timber internationally.
